upgrade to windows 10 will be available at no cost for all users running windows 7, 8 or 8.1 as long as you install it before the first year of windows 10’s release. If you still have a working copy of those older versions, you can obtain them for free—though they won’t be valid for a full year. Anyone who upgrades within that timeframe will have permanent access to the new system.
