It can be saved on both devices but must be used with a single Steam account. Playing it simultaneously isn't possible unless you purchase two copies.

i’m really sorry for you. i get games in 6 hours or less, and the next one is free too. you should both be able to play together if you both use offline mode and play singleplayer.

Sure, clarify the situation. After installing the disc and adding it to Steam as a non-steam title, can the other player simply access it without downloading? Also, does this imply that sharing Steam games isn't possible between accounts, requiring each player to download separately?
