I've noticed a lot of delays and thought about setting up an Ethernet connection using the existing wiring in our home. There are three pairs of wires (likely Cat3) and phone cables throughout the house. Instead of running a new cable downstairs, it would be simpler to use the current setup. Would it be feasible and what would be the best approach?

It might work, but cat3 typically handles only up to 10mbps. It’s best to spend on Cat5e at the minimum, or Cat6a if you intend to run cables permanently.

The 10mbps is acceptable, but I’m having trouble installing new cabling behind walls. What should I try next?
