I have a 1.5Gbit connection on my modem, yet the Ethernet is Gigabit. I've been fine using about two-thirds of my download until now, but after upgrading to a Ryzen, I noticed Wi-Fi performance is decent on my motherboard and modem. I've checked and it's around 500Mbps. There seems to be a way to prioritize network usage—like streaming Steam games at 450Mbps over Wi-Fi, or letting Chrome and Netflix use WiFi for faster downloads. Combining both could give me a total of 1.5Gbps. It's great to know all my devices can download updates while keeping Gigabit speed for others, haha! Thanks for the forum help with modem speeds.

You can set up network solutions like a PFSense router and define rules to control traffic flow. On the client side, you might have options through Windows Firewall, though details aren't clear. I haven't tested it myself.

This requires significant effort on the client side. Neither PFsense nor any load balancer can assist here; the choice must be made before the router itself determines which interface to use for sending specific traffic. I have a concept for the router side, but it still demands more work than I’d consider worthwhile.
