Hello there, fellow users. I’m facing a challenge with my current setup. I run a Windows 10 Pro PC with 32GB RAM, an Intel Core i7 6700K at 4.00GHz, and a GTX 1070. I’m trying to upgrade to the ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS equipped with two Intel Xeon E5 v3 processors at 3.20GHz. My games range from modern warfare to Fortnite, but lately I’ve noticed my system is struggling under the load. I’ve upgraded to a new machine with more RAM and added CPU sockets for future expansion. I’m sharing the specs in an attached photo. My main concern is whether I can run Windows Server 2016 and still enjoy playing games there. Will this migration work, or will I lose my gaming experience?

That's a high temperature reading. Make sure your motherboard is functioning properly.

I don't understand the reason behind your question. Could you clarify what you're asking?

You can enjoy gaming on a Windows server—it's still essentially Windows. The real issue is understanding the purpose of a Windows server; it's not necessary to stick with your existing Windows 10 Pro. Another option exists: Win10 Pro for Workstation, worth checking out if you're interested.

The latest installation has a sensor problem. The display showing temperature isn't accurate.

Yes, you should be able to run it as long as your system has enough power. Windows Server is basically Windows but tailored for servers, with some extra tools and differences in features like Task Manager and boot settings.

I prefer Windows Server since I rely on it daily at work, and I received a free license through my job. Based on what I've seen, it runs more smoothly and carries no negative connotations.

I haven't tried any graphics cards with the Z10PE-D16 WS motherboard yet, but I intend to use either a Titan X or an RTX 2080 for my deep learning work.
