Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a 4x RAID 0 setup using NVMe, and something feels off with my motherboard. I'm planning to flash the BIOS and revert everything back to default settings. I'm worried it might disrupt my raid or boot configuration. Is there a way to preserve my raid setup after resetting the motherboard to defaults?

Usually, avoid going past POST until everything is set just right. Press that key to enter BIOS after the update or reset and reallocate drives to RAID again. I’m not sure if this works with NVMe either, but many motherboards have faced problems where a single POST before switching SATA mode back from AHCI to RAID caused the array to fail. Make sure to back up everything.

Backup is recommended. The NVME array was moved to a new motherboard and functioned properly.

When the raid is configured in BIOS, the setup details will disappear if you reinstall your BIOS. However, if you remember the current configuration (which is stored in your BIOS), you can recreate it exactly and load the array without changes. Remember, each time you modify an array setting, always keep a backup of the whole system.
