When it was initially launched, this feature stores data! It doesn't support windowed recording, just full-screen capture. It captures everything exactly as it appears on your screen at the original resolution. No adjustments to window size or capture dimensions are allowed.

OBS remains superior even now. A recent update enables Nvidia GPU acceleration for video processing, avoiding CPU usage during encoding.

Shadowplay leverages your GPU's native H.264 encoding to compress video instantly, achieving minimal impact on performance. This results in lag-free recording!

OBS also handles this. It employs the X264 encoder. H.264 isn't an encoder itself, but rather a codec.

Previously, I was able to capture the desktop with Shadowplay. Based on how the webinar is delivered, VLC might work for recording the live stream from its URL.
