The number 1050 will impose a significant limitation. I’d aim for 60Hz using minimal adjustments.

i5 and GTX 1050 mean a 1080p display is likely. I’m expecting low to mid settings for solid FPS. There are many tutorials online to help optimize performance, such as the one from GeForce: https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides...king-guide

The main factor is your GPU, which remains consistent between laptops and desktops for Pascal. You should likely be able to run it at low to medium 60 FPS.

The difference matters. The 1050 model with 2 gigs of GDDR is lower than the 4 gigs mentioned, which could affect performance and power usage.

There was a minor gain, I ran Witcher 3 on my laptop with a 960m processor so everything should work.

Textures: Strong shadows, Medium character level
Grass: High water, High distance
Leaves: Low/Medium
Hair effects: Off
Ambient occlusion: Disabled
Anti-aliasing: Enabled
You can likely set it to 30 by adjusting these parameters.
If this doesn't help, refer to the GeForce guide on graphics tuning.
I managed to achieve 30 with my HD7950 using medium to high settings at 1440p.
The distant foliage setting makes the biggest difference.

Someone clarifies the advantages of a 660 over a 1050 despite its age.
