Consider alternatives if the prices are prohibitive—opt for the i5-6500.

I'm likely to accumulate savings and reach the 6600k eventually. Thanks!

Checking the i5 6600K, and skipping the 5820K—I’m grabbing the E5 2658 v3 12C because I’m feeling bold.

DSR will decrease performance by rendering at a larger resolution. Just use the original resolution instead.

Ebay Xeons offer good value, yet they could slow down even a GTX 1060.

The CPU is quite slow but should still function. Consider upgrading soon.

I'm experiencing issues with my 6600k processor when running Chrome tabs alongside games. I also need to run a Minecraft server, but the CPU power isn't sufficient. The performance drop is minimal, but I'm concerned about the bottleneck affecting frame rates. It seems the GPU usage might actually decrease due to the slow CPU, which isn't what you expected.

Reducing GPU load usually points to a limitation and often leads to fewer frames per second. This effect is most obvious in titles like GTA V and Overwatch.
