I get it! (not in a flirty way) I've worked with both Ubuntu and OS X. I'm really satisfied using both, and I've never faced problems finding Linux or OS X versions of Windows programs that are essential to my routine. Not to mention, I've been lucky enough to have all my favorite games—just a handful here: Spore, Minecraft, Civ 5, STO, and DCUO—work smoothly on OS X without any issues (though I haven't tested them all on Ubuntu yet).

I might skip El Capitan if you switch to OSX... I've tested it briefly and noticed many issues, which is why I chose not to upgrade from Yosemite.

Have you explored Elementary OS before? I found its appearance appealing and spent some time experimenting. It felt quite reminiscent of macOS for a Linux distribution, and I didn’t notice any major drawbacks. It seems like a balanced option. Still, I’m cautious about switching since compatibility issues popped up during installation attempts. Being relatively new to Linux might be the reason, but someone else’s perspective could help.

Even without a Blade, the MacBooks are impressive, especially considering someone who uses both a Blade and a MacBook Air.

We don't require a gaming laptop.

I haven’t done it yet, even though I’m trying to create a simple method for installing and testing many distributions. Linux can have some strange compatibility problems and quirks, but that’s just a laugh.

It's possible, but I wouldn't say the description was especially precise. With modern hardware virtualization, especially on Intel CPUs, the idea of a VM being nested inside another feels less clear.

This video covers the topic well if you're curious. In short, Macs aren't great for gaming since they were built with a focus on other areas, aiming to look more polished in competitive battles against IBM.
