In MSI Afterburner (Rivatuner) configure a frame cap at 65 FPS, ensuring buttery smooth performance. Avoid 60 FPS as it may lead to more tearing issues, but 62–64 or 65 is acceptable—just set it a bit faster than your monitor's refresh rate.

We understand this situation too; we handle it as well, though we favor the immediate mouse input over delays. AMD recently added a FPS limit in their Catalyst package, which I’m fairly certain about. If MSI isn’t set up or he doesn’t want it, there are other options available.

It's crucial to note that if you don't hit 60 fps, the frame rate will be capped (possibly at 30 fps) until you reach the target. This leads to extra delays and input lag.

No need for V-sync when aiming to maximize your frame rate.

Indeed, the delay in response isn't an issue for me.

I'm doing okay. Usually at the top of the leaderboard. I'm not trying to claim perfection in the game. Different games have different strengths.

It will keep happening until you can afford a Gsync or Freesync monitor. It’s even more serious than you might imagine—once you get used to Gsync, turning it off reveals how frustrating tearing can be in games. At first I thought it was just occasional issues, but now I realize it happens all over the place.

Or V-Sync. The issue was whether screen tearing happens with a frame limiter, which it should if I'm interpreting it right.
