I didn't mention it. You're working with the fractal R5 case without a window.

Yes, that's the cooler you use.

Not in use now but I possess it and utilized it before. It's an affordable and straightforward cooling device that delivers the same results or even exceeds them, and it won't break.

I agree with this; water cooling isn't necessary since the CPUs are highly efficient.

Do you believe the cooler alone needs replacement? Are there additional tweaks you could implement for both quiet operation and optimal speed?

I’d modify it myself using reliable components. The system would run quickly regardless of changes; the only part that definitely needs updating is the CPU cooler. Avoid liquid cooling and opt for a high-quality air cooler that fits your case.

That sounds like a solid plan. The airflow in the system seems manageable, but adding more fans could definitely improve cooling performance. It’s worth weighing the cost benefits against the gains in efficiency.

If you're okay with the NH d15 setup, it's a solid choice. The R5 has a front fan for intake and a rear one for exhaust—standard and sufficient. You probably don't need additional fans unless you want better airflow and quieter operation later. I'd also check if any retailers sell an aftermarket cooler like the Asus, MSI, or EVGA dual fan card. It can significantly boost temperatures, helping your GPU perform better with a boost. Both the fans and the GTX 970 are optional; the system will still work well without them, just worth considering for improved performance.

It depends on the resolution; assuming 1080p is correct, the CPU and GPU perform well.
