I was curious about overclocking a 15-6600k CPU, an MSI GTX 1070, and G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 16GB DDR4-2133 RAM. I'm building a PC and need to know if these components can be overclocked. My cooler suggestion is a be quiet! PURE ROCK 51.7. Thanks for the advice!

I'll take the carbon version if possible. It provides similar features to the Pro but includes more LEDs and a specific type of port on the back. Also, you just need a Z170 board to boost the CPU's speed. Overclocking a GPU works with any board.

You need a Z170 motherboard for this task. However, you can still overclock the graphics card since it's not dependent on the board you're using.

You actually need a Z170 motherboard for this.
But you can still overclock the graphics card since it's not tied to your current board.
I don't think I need to overclock my CPU or RAM, right? I'm just planning to use the PC for Premiere Pro, GMOD, and GTA V.

I’m not really planning to overclock my CPU and RAM, am I? I’ll just be using the PC for Premiere Pro, GMOD, and GTA V.
The i5 6600k is a CPU designed for overclocking; if you choose a non-overclocking board, you should pick a non-overclocking CPU to avoid wasting money.
They also make a non-overclockable version of the i5 6600k, which is the i5 6600.

Some other MSI boards might work for overclocking the i5-6600K with RGB lights.
