With the current setup of two 4GB modules at 3000MHz, I’m looking to upgrade to four 4GB modules at 2666MHz. The challenge is finding an alternative package that matches both the speed and timing requirements. It seems possible to replace the existing units with a similar configuration, but only if all modules are installed together. If you want to keep everything on your system without replacing any parts, it would depend on whether the new kit fits the same slot and timing constraints.

That's not feasible. I believe there was a misunderstanding in your query. In my defense, you phrased it uniquely. The answer I gave earlier is about whether I can OC 2 of my 4 sticks to outpace the other 2. No, you can't change the speed of all your RAM at once. If you're asking if you can use a newer, slower setup with the same speed and timing as an older faster one, then it depends. It might work in some cases, but compatibility isn't guaranteed. You'd likely need to run both at their lowest common settings, which are around 2666MHz 16-18-18-36. Even then, they might not be compatible.
