Hello everyone, yes you can adjust your upload speed beyond the download speed set by your ISP. For instance, if you have a 1Gbps download plan, you can switch to a 500Mbps upload plan yourself.

The rates you received from your ISP are determined by them. To adjust them, you need to reach out to them directly.

You might need to transmit large amounts of information, yet encounter slow speeds due to network limitations or bandwidth constraints.

They're not from your side. You could reach out to your ISP to check for customized upload plans, though they might charge outrageous fees if they do. The best alternative would be switching to another ISP or selecting a plan with more upload capacity.

The bulk of consumer ISP users tend to download more than they upload.

Do you need a commercial connection supporting 1Gbps uploads?

In the old DSL era I heard stories about folks trying to boost their connection speeds, but as a young person myself, I was curious if anyone could share how that worked. Probably even now you can try it, though ISP equipment is tightly secured and attempting this would be risky. You'd also need specialized skills, and your provider restricts data flow regardless of speed demands.

I could get banned by your ISP if I tried that.
