Hey everyone, I'm just starting out with PC building and making a list for my first setup. Everything seems to be going smoothly, right? I’m checking Newegg daily to track prices and using PCPartsPicker to verify compatibility. I’ve gathered all the parts so far, but now I need to connect the machine to the internet. My home doesn’t have an Ethernet network—only a Vodafone Wi-Fi router. I’m thinking about adding a USB or PCI-E adapter, but those with good reviews on Amazon and Newegg are pricey for my budget. Could someone suggest using an Ethernet cable to plug the PC directly into the router’s port? I understand routers vary between providers, but maybe there’s a common approach I should follow? Thanks for any advice!

The modem needs a sturdy black or white coaxial cable exiting the rear, along with a power supply. If an Ethernet connection is present on the back, you can simply link your computer to that port.
