Hello, I understand you're considering playing CS:GO despite not having your own team. It's a good idea to check the rules on ESL's site and see if they allow participation without a full squad. Just remember, their expectations are high, but trying is fine as long as you follow the guidelines. Good luck!
Reach Global Elite and then attempt a trial. Or launch your own squad for millions in investment.
Try CSGO! HA! Also good luck with ESL. CSGO feels fun once, but after thousands of hours you really shine.
They used a system for pickup-style games where you logged in to a room with others of similar rating (like ESL one). You’d be paired with another mixed team having players at the same level. These are referred to as gathers or lobbys. I don’t recall another site doing that. Possibly ESEA? In any case, for one night cups, tournaments, and laffer you need to apply and join a team. It’s better to reach out to local (national) fan sites and find a lower-level team to train with.
Not really. Consistent practice and daily play make reaching Eagle manageable. For newcomers, joining an ESL team isn't necessary—you'll just waste time. Keep it casual until you understand the game, then try matchmaking. But don't rush into ESL before you're even LEM or Supreme. Even though I've played a few ESL games today, most teams are split between MG1/MG2 and LEM to Global Elite.
I understand. I was really excited about it. I spent around 289 hours, and I'm Nova 4. I only began competing seriously in comps around the 30th match.
Knowing the lay of the land—pre-fire routes, safe places, and escape times—helps you perform better.
