Absolutely, with plenty of PCI-E ports available. You can run GTX for gaming and Quadro for professional tasks. If the software allows multiple GPUs to work together, they can handle the same workload efficiently.

The 3950X is a widely used AM4 chip with 16 cores and 32 threads, though it offers limited PCIe options. It works well for general tasks but may not suit dual GPUs or heavy NVMe storage needs. The 3960X provides more flexibility for advanced setups. Which applications are we focusing on?

I’m not sure yet, but since I can afford any choice, I’d prefer to be well prepared. Regarding your previous comment about having two systems you can switch between, it sounds practical for me. I’m thinking of using a custom-built case to keep everything neat and save space. Also, could you possibly connect your gaming system’s video output directly to the workstation so it streams to YouTube or Twitch? Thanks for explaining this clearly—I’m new to PC building.

It works well for me since I enjoy using three different operating systems (my Mac is also linked to the same KVM), though it doesn’t save much space. It seems possible to manage everything on one system. I usually suggest proceeding if feasible—unless we're discussing capture setups. Having a big budget helps, but wasting resources isn’t ideal. Maybe begin with a 2080 Ti (or upgrade later) and add the Quadro when needed. Building PCs can be tricky; purchasing all gear before knowing your requirements might backfire. Starting with one GPU and expanding later is often practical. Just pick a PSU that can handle future demands and factor it into your case design. That part isn’t within my expertise. I’m sure it’s achievable with a capture card, though I haven’t tried it myself.
