Because it's a gray market doesn't guarantee the keys are genuine. I've tested over 80 games on g2a with no protection after discovering they're just bot-distributed keys, ensuring you won't fall for scams when purchasing from reputable sellers. The keys are authentic and legally obtained. Only the buyer is using their own card for resale purposes.

No, you cannot file a refund request through PayPal for a G2A key purchase. PayPal does not process refunds for G2A transactions.

And that means they don't rely on fake keys. They can generate genuine ones, and those will function properly in the game. There are no fake keys involved.

Valve earns more when customers purchase directly through Steam. They're simply aiming to encourage spending beyond what's necessary.

Looking for feedback often reveals issues, but companies like Amazon and G2A generally offer strong service despite occasional complaints. A few sellers may have high sales numbers while still having minor problems, just like any business. I’ve had my own bad experiences before, but it’s normal to encounter difficulties with any brand. Rice Crispy cereal is another example of a product that receives many reviews—both positive and negative. Overall, it’s important to consider the bigger picture rather than focusing on isolated complaints.

If you purchase the G2A shield, it adds $3 regardless of whether the key is genuine or not, and you won’t receive a refund even if you use PayPal. If you skip buying it entirely, there’s no return option at all. I personally don’t buy any shields because they’re designed to instill fear so people feel compelled to purchase, which benefits G2A financially.

They weren't acquired via standard methods. Your access could be removed at any moment from Steam or whatever DRM is attached if they detect improper acquisition. Such occurrences are common. Not experiencing it for everyone doesn't guarantee it won't affect you.

Yep, G2A are robbing cunts, I bought from them once and noticed they added 60p to the bill which I was never told about but worse was G2A shield which I specifically said I didn't want, they still charged me for it but then the cheeky twats started taking £3 a month out of my account for it. I went onto their site to disable and I'm genuinely not joking, this was the process... 1) Click disable 2) click through 10 pages of "are you sure?" adverts 3) wait 6 hours for a code to come by email 4) click through the same 10 pages of "are you sure?" 5) enter code 6) wait another 6 hours for them to send a cancellation link 7) follow link 8) click through the same 10 pages of "are you sure?" 9) enter the last 4 digits of my CC 10) wait another 6 hours for an email 11) respond to email requesting cancellation 12) wait 2 days for a response which said "are you sure?" 13) lose my fucking mind and reply telling them that if they don't cancel it today I'm going to ring my bank and tell them they've taken unauthorised money out of my account 14) wait another 2 days for yet another link that finally let me take g2a shield off my account with a single tick box and a second "I agree" tick box. Needless to say, I never used them again after that.

The functionality and legality of the keys are separate concerns.
