Three days ago I purchased a new Asus laptop. I upgraded it to Windows 11 thinking the support lasted only a few days. During its first three days, I noticed several problems: some keys felt stiff, the display quality was below expectations, and USB-C didn’t support video. I also learned my purchase is treated as final once the OS changes. The "Go Back" option under System > Recovery is gone, likely because I chose to reset the PC during return preparation. If you want to revert to Windows 10 while keeping all Asus software, there’s no straightforward way—your device is now locked in the new OS.

You might be able to restore your PC from the Recovery Partition if it hasn’t been erased after clicking Reset this PC. This should bring the system back to the original OS, likely Windows 10. https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041621/

Download the Windows Media Creation Tool for Windows 10 and proceed with the upgrade. This process will function like a Windows update while reinstalling your system, ensuring all your data remains intact.

I completed that two months ago, feel free to give it a shot. Winning 11 isn't right for me. It was done using the media creation tool, not the installer.

Use the Media Creation Tool to build a Windows USB installer. Boot from it and select advanced setup, then clear all partitions before starting the installation. The Asus 'bloatware' is available on their website. If the factory restore partition remains, you can simply revert the machine to its original state—Windows 11 upgrade shouldn’t affect that. The method you use to reset the device influences the outcome. In some regions, consumer rights protect against unfair sales terms; software is meant to be updated or upgraded, not used for disputes. Windows 11 includes a standard 10-day rollback window, though the 3-day limit may be unclear. Good luck!
