Many tutorials exist for this, but I wouldn't choose an operating system based on appearance.

Don’t let it affect your mood, but that CPU is at its worst.

Switch to macOS happened because updates weren’t available behind the scenes

You can turn it off. It’s quite simple. Do you have a hard drive or an SSD?

To keep things safe, everyone should enable updates whenever possible. There are many important security fixes they provide. What problems are you experiencing with the update process?

SSD also the option to turn off temporarily; I often overlook how quickly it resets, which makes me forget it’s gone. I shouldn’t upgrade to 20H2 because it might cause more problems with the system again.

I’d just set up Linux. It uses fewer resources, is free, and needs minimal effort to start. I recommend Linux Mint Cinnamon.

20h2 is completely bug-free for me. It’s been upgraded to handle over 40 systems. Every OS requires updates now, and there’s little you can do about it these days.
