I created an account using my username. They only had my old email and phone number, which was needed for a special link. I haven’t added anything else—everything is private. I don’t accept friend requests, and no one can view my posts. (I don’t post much.) It was made just for a few mobile trash games that require a Facebook account to get some free items.

Only what you provide them has. If you don’t want them to notice something, avoid sharing pictures or similar content. Still, I question if anyone beyond your FB friends will be checking your posts.

Same rules apply everywhere. Avoid sharing information they might track. Don’t let anyone discover your details through searches. Keep private photos secure—they’re restricted by the site’s policies on using them for ads without consent.

I used FB but often forget it’s available. My phone alerts me when others are talking to me. It looks like they can’t see what I say as clearly as in Skype, which works for me. I don’t share posts online, though seeing photos of people can be pleasant.
