You can combine RAM without causing issues, though you may need to adjust its speed manually. XMP might not apply in this case.

If you're confident about the timing, it should work. Just ensure the matching sticks stay together on your board. I’m aware manufacturers occasionally update their RAM over time without public notice—like switching chip types. It shouldn’t crash your system, but I can’t guarantee compatibility right out of the box.

It could function or not, but it's probably going to work. Each kit's pieces should go into the slots one after another, leaving a space between the same kit's sticks.
