Yes, it's possible to run Windows 7 on a Ryzen PC. However, the installer doesn't support USB installation, so you'll need to use alternative methods like a USB drive or a virtual machine.

You were able to set up a dual boot by installing both Windows 10 Home and Xubuntu 16.04. The process required creating separate partitions on the drive.

Alright, that makes sense. Partitioning could be a good idea. Thanks!

I also had Windows 7 and 10 on the same disk before needing to replace the board and CPU because of a problem, but do you know how to bypass the USB restriction in the installer?

Add USB drivers to the Windows 7 installer using MSI Smart Tool. It works for most users to include USB 3 and NVMe support in a bootable Windows 7 USB file. This patch also removes the artificial block in Windows Update for newer CPUs: https://github.com/zeffy/wufuc
