You can upgrade to Windows 10 by performing a clean install on another SSD. The update system should support this process, but you may need an ISO image and a valid activation key. Since you don’t have the current update yet, preparing the second SSD is a good idea. Let me know if you need help with the steps!
You won’t be able to proceed via the update system. The recommended approach is to perform the upgrade, download the W10 ISO, and install it on the different SSD. Upgrading is necessary before a clean installation.
To obtain the FREE W10, it seems you need to proceed via Windows Update (or use the W10 media creation tool), choose "Upgrade this machine," validate your key, and link your machine ID to the new generic key. Once completed, you can reinstall from scratch using an ISO created with the generic key.
This doesnt work i already tried, you dont get a unique key you get a general key everyone else gets the same,i tried clean reinstall after activation and the key is blocked. There is no clean install for free upgrade users yet. They said its going to work like that but it doesnt work. So dont do a clean reinstall guys stay on the upgrade.
