The suggested specifications seem manageable, but I’m looking for something suitable for your budget mini PC. Since your mom isn’t upgrading soon and you’ll need it for weekends while traveling, you’ll want a reliable yet affordable setup.

It's essentially a lightweight device, probably just for running simple browser-based games. At least it seems appealing.

operates with minimal configurations at 25 fps... occasionally switches to left for dead 2 at about 45 (under pressure) and reaches 65-70 fps during smoother moments.

LFD2 is quite an older release, but that’s impressive in itself. It seems the texture quality might have been limited, though. I checked the game details and it should run smoothly at around 30 frames per second with basic settings, possibly even higher if the resolution drops. You’ll also be able to enjoy it in beautiful cinematic frame rates.

Additionally, Half-Life 2 operates between 60 to 125 frames per second.

The game was designed for modern toasters, which is why I wasn’t surprised. I don’t think it will perform exceptionally well, but it should run if you’re okay with low settings—you might see smooth frames but not top performance.

You can always try it out to check functionality and, if it doesn’t work, return it via Steam. Just avoid playing more than two hours and ensure the purchase is within two weeks.
