Hi, I own a Dell Precision T3620 and want to switch the motherboard while keeping the CPU (Xeon 1270 v5). My GPU requires more power than my current setup allows. I’ve upgraded to a 500W PCU but it only has 24 pins compared to my board’s 8 pins. I’m wondering if a Socket 1151 board would work. I need DDR4 (two 16GB 2RX8 PC4-2400), an x16 PCIe slot (for my RTX 1070), Xeon 1270 compatibility, and space for three hard drives (or fewer if needed). Also, should I consider a MATX motherboard with a large GPU if it fits in the case? Thanks!

I worked it out, guys—upgrade to a bigger PCU (700W) and a 24-pin to 8-pin ATX power adapter. You’ll find helpful videos on YouTube for anyone needing assistance later. The channel that assisted me was GreenPCGamers.
