Hello, I'm checking if these rams fit with the i7-920 P6T. It's not SDRAM, right? I'm still getting the hang of this, but I'll try my best. Thanks for your patience!

they claim the server is just a placeholder, assuming it won't actually exist

Looking forward to the best and grabbing these for $15 used. It looks like a good deal if I do! Planning to get a X5560 for another $15. The higher bus speed compared to the i7-920 might help reduce bottlenecks in newer games. Any suggestions, good or not? Edit: Noticed you posted now. The main confusion is about SDRAM compatibility when searching online—some sites say it works, others don’t mention it on Asus’s site. Need a bit of know-how or someone experienced. Still appreciates the help!

Typically, registered ECC RAM works best with specific chipsets, motherboards, or memory controllers. Unregistered ECC RAM may function identically to standard RAM. I believe it won’t operate properly.

For reusing the motherboard isn't recommended. The P6T Deluxe doesn't work with Xeon CPUs and also lacks ECC memory support. Check the official guide at https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P6T...pDesk_CPU/ for details.

Unclear why I missed it myself. Really appreciate you noticing it. Alright, I’ll skip those sticks and look for a more affordable ValueRAM instead. Thanks again for all the help!
