I was processing cancellations and then purchasing the right item, which is what you were correct about. I believed I had made the best choice by opting for a 9700k, but I’m certain hyperthreading won’t affect future games.

It seems unclear, but I believe they could work together. I confirmed that earlier.

Could the Kraken X62 280mm provide sufficient cooling for your i9 9900K?

Not sure what you mean, but a 280mm feels quite large. Check out the customer reviews.

It should work well if the AIFLOOW balance is decent. Interestingly, the X62 actually fits into NZXT's ITX case—though it's a bit bigger than usual for a small form factor, still fitting within ITX limits. It isn't officially promoted for this use, but I'd be surprised if you encounter any problems. You might need to think outside the box with your MATX setup; it's unlikely you'll fit all drive bays clearly, but it should be doable. It's definitely supported, so I’d strongly recommend investing in a high-quality 140mm PWM rear exhaust fan for your case. This isn't too focused on airflow direction, especially if you're using an AIO, which can heat the incoming air. Ideally, aim for as much exhaust as intake, particularly with an AIO. Using a stock 120mm fan at the back could get quite warm over time. If the interior stays cool, you could swap the PSU for it and use the exhaust as an extra fan—but only if you don’t cover the PSU with a shroud. Avoid that unless you’re certain. Generally, a 140mm model should suffice, though you might want something that can spin over 1500 RPM if you have to deal with rubber tabs. If temperatures rise inside, flipping the PSU off and using it as an exhaust fan could help, but only if you skip the shroud.
