Yes, they can work together.
Hello everyone. Your videos are really appreciated. I’m looking for some guidance on my current shopping list. I’ve already checked the parts picker, which says everything works together. The ASUS website confirms compatibility with their board. Still, I’d like a knowledgeable person to review it before I place the order. Some items are only available for a short time, so I need to act quickly. If I order now, a few of those products might be out of stock, which would be a problem. Here’s the link to my list: https://imgur.com/a/zlVV1U0. Did I get everything correctly? If not, do you have any suggestions? I also need a board with SPDIF output (optical sound) and it’s on a budget. Thank you very much for your help!
The board is compatible with the CPU. It's possible to select a faster memory option. If only basic operation is required, it should suffice.
It isn't old by much, but Intel has already released its tenth generation chip, meaning a replacement motherboard is required for upgrades. Right now, AMD is considered the better choice for better performance at a lower cost. You can purchase a Ryzen 5 3600 for around $150, offering improved speed in both single and multi-threaded tasks, along with extra cores, hyperthreading, free overclocking, and affordable motherboards that work with AMD's latest processors.
Sure, I can recommend specific models or configurations that maximize CPU performance. Let me know if you'd like details on any particular system or architecture. Thank you!
I tried to go with Ryzen, but the problem was finding a budget-friendly board with SPDIF out. Either it's too expensive or I end up paying more than what I have now. I don’t mind upgrading for another 6-7 years. The games I play are mostly older strategy titles, so it won’t affect me. For video editing, this chip should work fine since most apps don’t need multi-threaded or multi-core performance.
I understand what you were trying to say. The 10th generation is already available, it isn't the latest Intel processors, and it doesn't offer the best value. Did you think your budget was around $400 for those three parts? I’ll look for a motherboard that fits your requirements and see if I can assemble a Ryzen setup.
