Hey, your new 5800x performed well with the attached data in r23. The scores look solid—MC is around 16.2k and temperature is stable. Regarding temperatures, the bios are set to max limits except for the top core, which is at -10°C. Overall, it seems healthy.

The 5800x and 5900x are extremely powerful chips. From what I know, cooling them effectively is difficult because of the dye design, making it hard to keep anything below 80°C without sacrificing performance. That’s why I chose the 5900x over the 5800x.

I didn’t realize differently, otherwise I’d have gotten the 5900x for a bit more money.

AMD made the 5800X much less efficient compared to the 5900X. For just an extra $100, you get a chip with more cores and threads, plus better cooling performance. This choice was questionable since most people don’t require a 5900X, and the 5600X might not suffice in about five years. It’s a bit of a tricky situation. I once owned a 5800X and it got extremely hot, even with my custom loop.
