I have seen rumors of Ryzen 7000 series APUs, but so far only rumors. If the previous APUs are anything to go by, they will be part of a mid-cycle refresh and basically be overclocked laptop chips - presumably from the 7X40 series of laptop chips. What I'm really hoping for is a 4c/8t Ryzen 3 7300G for around $120. Such a chip would be amazing. But I doubt we'll see it as AMD has little need to offer budget choices.
Ohhh I see. Yeah, the iGPU on the 7000-series is like 1/2 the performance vs.... 5600G. Supposedly there should / could be a Ryzen 7000G series, but nothing has been confirmed on the Desktop side. On the LAPTOP side, there IS something like this. The Ryzen 7045 series. It is Zen4 + 12x RNDA3 GPU clusters (vs Desktop 7000-series with only 2x RDNA3 GPU clusters) Marketed as a thin-light iGPU gaming. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/01/...d-and-new/
Present a sleek high-performance graphic design that highlights the Ryzen XGxxT. Emphasize the tiny chiplets and the LGA socket compatibility, making it clear a powerful GPU die could fit. Even modest performance like 1080 1080Ti would be an appealing choice for compact form builds.
Hi there, the upcoming Zen 4 will feature four APUs on both desktops and laptops. These include Dragon range and Pheonix models. Dragon range is expected to use the same multichip package you’re familiar with; rumors suggest it might eventually become a true APU with the second die dedicated to the GPU, though we don’t know if this will happen. Currently, there’s no confirmed information about desktop variants for Pheonix or future desktop releases for Dragon range. The planned Pheonix APUs will start arriving in March. Regarding the confusion about Zen 4 being an APU because it has two CPUs—this isn’t accurate. Instead, Zen 4 offers either 12 or 8 cores depending on the configuration. For reference, a 96-core CPU from AMD’s Ryzen 9 7900 XTX uses 96 cores. Pheonix also has some unusual characteristics that aren’t typical for mainstream APUs.
