Dota and League are really boosting the esports landscape, but could there be space for fresh ideas? Heroes seems less serious about MOBA gameplay compared to the rest.

In my view, hots lacks meaningful player influence, making it hard to compete. Both strong and weak players can perform well since the small details that usually show skill are gone.

There are countless esports titles available, but not all of them fit the MOBA category, as there are already enough options in that genre.

At a high-level, Heroes doesn't seem to be matching up with League or Dota. The side missions in Heroes are among the major updates I'm eager to watch develop.

I enjoy playing Heroes of the Storm for some casual enjoyment when I have a spare moment. It isn’t really about competition, though there is some skill involved—just like most multiplayer titles. Honestly, I prefer it more than anything else, especially since I haven’t played much Dota 2 and find it hard to invest the time it requires. The game feels genuine and doesn’t pretend to be overly polished, which makes it more about fun than long sessions. While I appreciate StarCraft 2 for competitive play, I don’t think MOBA games are nearly as engaging to watch or to master. From my perspective, Heroes doesn’t need to dominate a crowded competitive scene; as long as there’s enough players to get matches quickly, it has its own value. I’m hoping the game continues to thrive.

HOTS focuses more on enjoying the casual MOBA scene rather than competing aggressively. It’s ideal for players who value teamwork and have a relaxed approach. What stood out initially was how the community feels—less toxic compared to other scenes, making it easier to play without distractions like loud shouting.

I really enjoy hot content. The monsters bring something fresh. But strong teams can grow quickly with monster help. It's quite simple because you lack inventory. I believe it will perform well. It isn't bad at all. Infinite Crisis stood out without any novelty, so it didn't succeed. Similarly, Dawngate also fell short due to a lack of innovation and poor marketing.
