The background process is named Microsoft content. It only appears when I'm using full screen in the game and causes significant issues. My ping jumps from about 150ms to 600ms, and I can't seem to stop it. It acts like a troll—disappearing quickly after I switch tabs or games. If anyone knows how to disable it, that would be great!

It seems the issue might connect to Microsoft's "game bar" function. You may want to disable it if possible, as it appears to be a toggleable setting. A search on the web also links it to Microsoft Edge.

The game DVR is connected through the Xbox app. When you open the app and navigate to settings, you can turn off GameDVR there. This should resolve the issue, though it might still cause high ping even when idle.
