Yes, there are notable distinctions among Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT. Windows 95 introduced a graphical interface and bundled Internet Explorer, while Windows 98 expanded multimedia support and improved networking. Windows NT, on the other hand, was designed for enterprise use with advanced security features and server capabilities. Each version targeted different user needs and environments.

The question aims to clarify how Windows versions relate to the NT family, emphasizing that older systems like Windows 95 and 98 are part of NT, and that modern versions continue this lineage.

95, 98, 98SE, and ME run on DOS systems, not NT. NT existed as a different platform back then.

Win98 corresponds to Win95, just like Win7 relates to Vista. A move toward improved performance.
