I experienced frequent driver crashes and stalls on my PowerColor Red Devil 9070xt. Recently, only the lower third of the screen displayed solid colors that started to loop. The upper part remained functional. I attempted DDU and reinstalled the drivers due to the issues. It seems there might be a GPU problem, and it appears serious enough to consider returning or requesting an RMA. Updated August 10, 2025 by usikker removed images.

Have you explored the alternative GPUs? There should be a control on the GPU you can adjust.

Are you pushing performance beyond limits? Yes, it might be happening since I’ve experienced similar issues when I increased my core clock too much.

I haven't performed any overclocking. The only changes I've made are adjusting the fan curve to be more aggressive.

Install the necessary GPU drivers through Windows. Use the DDU or AMD removal tool if needed, as it will delete all AMD-related drivers automatically. Let Windows handle the installation.

The issue hasn’t disappeared completely, even after changing the GPU drivers and removing Adrenaline. I’m still experiencing crashes during games, especially if I pause a game midway through. It seems to occur more often when I switch tabs, though it doesn’t happen instantly. I’m considering temperature as a possible cause, but my readings look normal and don’t vary during crashes. I should have recorded these details earlier, but I’ll keep track next time.
