Hello friends. I just bought the Orbi AX4200 (Rbk750) from Costco. It’s a WiFi 6 router with two extra satellites, making it a three-piece setup. I’m using a gigabit plan from my provider (Cox Communications, 1000mbps down, 40mbps up), but I’m seeing around 200mbps on the satellite connected to my PC, and about 150mbps for me and my girlfriend’s iPhone 12 Pro when we’re both right in front of the main router. I live in a 1700 sqft apartment with two bedrooms. The setup looks like this: an Arris Surfboard dc3.1 modem (up to 2000mbps) is hardwired into the router, both in the living room. About 60 feet away is the satellite at the office, connected via a Cat 6 cable to my PC. The other satellite is 60 feet opposite in our bedroom. I’ve taken steps: a technician checked and confirmed the advertised speeds come straight from the modem, I installed fresh wiring and a splitter, and I reset the Orbi system with new firmware from my PC. I also tried changing channels in the router settings. I’ve talked to tech support via chat and phone, but nothing worked. After swapping two systems in just three days, I’m starting to doubt the product and think it’s not the service provider. Anyone have advice?

Do you know if the connection between your modem and router supports 1 Gbps? It could be possible, but it depends on your setup.

It’s the Ethernet included with the system, which is why I’m hoping to be convinced.
