Currently, the issue seems to stem from insufficient demand and limited access to suitable hardware. While there are switches offering 2.5/5/10Gb speeds available, most are aimed at consumer-level applications rather than advanced use cases.

It's great to see the new arrival—really fresh and exciting. The product I mentioned isn't currently available, but I placed a local order for two units.

Search results highlight common issues. USB limitations will affect performance, restricting speeds to around 3.5Gbit or 3.6Gbit depending on frame size. Using a 6000 MTU works best.

I searched extensively but it wasn't accessible before. 3.5G is suitable for a Gen1 port; you should obtain the complete 5 from a Gen2 port. I'll check once I have mine.

I purchased it, but they halted sales this morning. Disappointing. Do you know if there are more available?

Yeah, it's disappointing... but at least 3.5 is better than 1...

I switched to a 2.5Gbit Realtek that was problematic because the Linux driver stopped working after newer kernels were released. It wasn’t officially supported, but it was just a standard USB NIC driver that kept flooding syslog with link-up/down alerts and didn’t handle jumbo frames. To be honest, it performed okay enough for transferring data between my gaming PC and laptop.

Looks just like the Qnap but with a bigger plastic shell. Same price and chip, but less stock and a bit pricier. Planning to get two Qnaps tomorrow.
