I just saw the hardware unboxed video explaining why cheaper Intel B560 boards can drop CPU performance by up to 30%. I’m thinking about upgrading from my i3 10100F to an i5 11400F, since my current board isn’t handling games like BF 2042 well. I need a motherboard that still works smoothly without breaking the bank or taking up too much space. I’m curious if there are any decent B560 models for Intel MATX boards. TLDR: do any mid-range B560 options hold up okay?

Most boards work well with the 11400F, except for the Asus Prime B560M-K. Problems usually appear at 11700 and higher. Check the final video in Steve's series to find motherboards with B560M in the name that have stable VRM temps and deliver expected speeds.

Watch the video where Steve shared his picks for two boards that performed excellently from the start. He thinks Asus TUF and Gigabyte AUORUS Pro are great options.
