Star Wars: The Old Republic offers a variety of activities: engage with the narrative, compete against other players in PvP, enjoy cooperative or solo sessions based on your preference, gather items or aim to overcome the toughest challenges. You can play for free, with an optional subscription cost or purchase passes through the cash shop, which you can also acquire using in-game credits from other players.
others similar to WoW and SW:TOR are seen as mmorpgs by the OP because they offer lots of controls, a preference for solo play over group activities, and fewer buttons to manage. Games like those would fit better with Elder Scrolls Online, Runescape, Guild Wars 2, and WildStar. While League of Legends is also considered a mmo, it doesn’t match WoW’s style. ESO can be enjoyable but the community isn’t appealing to me, and I don’t enjoy the armor or PvP aspects. SWTOR is my go-to but I’m getting bored from its repetitive nature and having everything I want already.
Great illustration of just how basic this discussion space can be, huh?
I like games that let you advance both solo and with others. Unlike WoW, where you usually need a team of ten or more, this one lets you play through on your own as well. (Except for competitive play, which feels different now compared to when it was more like PvP.)
We seem to misunderstand because most people agree what you're asking for resembles an MMORPG. What would you prefer to say instead? I'm searching for a game that doesn't emphasize teamwork, raids, or skill cycles. Was that easy? There was no need to declare a strong dislike for MMOs and then list examples that fit common perceptions. Just check the official Maplestory description on Google—its wording suggests a fun, engaging experience.
You mentioned RPGs, but I received some RPGS instead. I don’t want online games. Someone suggested online MMORPGs or hack'n'slash, but you called them stupid. Got it.
RPG refers to a role-playing game, correct? For an MMO with massive multiplayer online features, I’d suggest Arma 3 Altis Life.
As far as MMORPGs are concerned, get ready to reminisce about your youth. Classic RPGs remain uncertain—check out the old school site.
