It works because the Nintendo Switch is designed to be versatile, offering both portable and home versions with different performance levels. The fact that it has a functional unit suggests it meets basic requirements for its intended use.

It's in the process of creation, but it isn't accessible to everyone and currently shows only a home interface, without any gameplay options.

It's surprising how Nintendo Switch runs an emulator so smoothly in just a short time.

i don’t consider myself a developer, yet i think because the switches made things simpler and relied more on the wii u’s foundation, much of the effort was already completed for the developers.

Partly because of the vast power difference I would imagine and from what I understand there are custom chips that just add even more complication to the matter. Just to get an idea of how complicated these things can be, check out this video. It's about the OG XBox and probably not the same thing but it kind of puts your brain in the right direction to understanding what goes into emulation development. @keik Definitely not! That is a well known fake emulator. Don't be fooled by these fakes. Just the most basic of research will reveal what is real and what is fake.
