I created this subject since I came across a blog entry and I was curious about the existence of multi-CPU motherboards.

Currently, only server boards support multiple CPUs, whereas older consumer motherboards such as the famous ABITP6 could run two CPUs.

Primarily server boards existed, though some consumer boards previously offered multiple CPUs. However, this practice has largely stopped because it's likely too costly and not feasible.

I glance at my P3TDDE in photos taken before I took it apart. It seems they might be real. Chances are, you'll find a better deal on a free 2024 F-150 Platinum than on a dual S7 board.

Typical consumer processors lack multi-socket support, though this is widespread in workstations and servers.
