Seeking a captivating sci-fi experience with a rich setting and compelling narrative. Lean toward cyberpunk or ultra-futuristic themes, available on Steam or Vita.

It's not necessary to begin right away. You can try it later if you decide. Since you're not keen on it and don't usually play EA titles, it might not be the best fit.

I thought the first two were too intense, so I skipped them, haha. Infinite was really great.

Bioshock too, and sure if you catch up on the story. Apart from that, perhaps the star citizen is worth checking out, even though it's still in beta.

Mass Effect stands out as the top RPG series and arguably the finest sci-fi titles of its time. Deus Ex: Human Revolution impresses equally. Cyberpunk offers a compelling vibe, while Bioshock leans more toward sci-fi themes. I’d suggest beginning with the first game or Infinite.

Elite Dangerous works well, yet lacks a genuine narrative presence.

Alien isolation, Black Mesa, Half Life 2, Crysis series, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Dawn of War 2, KOTOR, XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Strike Suit Zero, Dead Space, Wolfenstein: The New Order, various boh Supreme Commander titles, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence. That's a solid beginning.
