I’m recommending the Luke+Linus approved bundle of Microsoft security essentials, Malwarebytes, and superantispyware. If they believe this covers your needs, it should work well for you too.

Windows Defender and Malwarebytes have never encountered any issues on my PC, and they’ve detected nothing unusual, regardless of whether it might affect the system.
