Is there an option for a system with every M.2 slot in Gen5? I haven’t found any that includes even one. Most seem to only have one Gen5 slot. Why is that?

You only require a single Gen 5 SSD for storage needs, not additional ones.

Since there’s nothing in the consumer market that handles PCIe5, the only PCIe5 lanes come from the processor itself. When using a Gen5 M.2 slot, it draws power from the X16 slot. You can practically utilize the entire PCIe5 X16 port for SSDs if the motherboard supports splitting on that connection...

This board includes every Gen 5 M.2 slot available. The site mentions it’s not worth purchasing for most purposes. Gen 4 offers nearly identical performance across most tasks. Few boards provide all Gen 5 slots because most M.2 slots are built into the chipset, which is still Gen 4. Consequently, all Gen 5 M.2 chips are connected directly to the CPU.

Error, term not recognized in the dictionary. For now, stick to PSUs (which is generally fine). You only need more than 4Gbps bandwidth for anything, even basic tasks. If you get a Gen 4 SSD with DRAM cache, it should suffice for most needs. For gaming, you don’t need DRAM cache—just meet your requirements and upgrade later. With Gen 5 drives, heat increases are significant; large heatsinks on some PCIe Gen 5 SSDs make it impractical unless you really want it. If you have a budget and use case in mind, let me know. This device includes a Gen5 M.2 and PCIe 16 support, making it suitable for that type of setup. Consider the GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Elite X WIFI7 Asrock Z790 LiveMixer.

The B650E Master supports four Gen 5 M.2 ports. While it works, it’s not particularly advantageous beyond niche scenarios, making it less practical than options with all Gen 4 slots.

This attempt is pointless. There’s nothing that will help x4 lanes of Gen5 for storage on consumer devices, and what we have now is a total waste of money—especially for a desktop PC. We often design top-tier systems, and the only thing we really care about is Gen5 NVMe storage; it doesn’t make sense here. Redirect your focus elsewhere.

Because only LGA 1700 CPUs support 16 gen 5 lanes, using a gen 5 M.2 will restrict your GPU to x8 channels. This isn't practical for most tasks. Could you share what your workload is? Also, what else are you planning to build? Budget?
