Hey everyone, here are my computer details: GPU – Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GAMING OC, CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Desktop Processor, Cooler – Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO V2 R2, RAM – Team T-Force Vulcan Z Gray 32GB (2x16GB) at 3600MHz, DDR4, Storage – Samsung pro 980 250GB M.2, Bulk Drive – Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD, 3.5-inch OS – Windows 10 home, Motherboard – Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro WiFi, Power Supply – MSI MPG 850W. I recently purchased a refurbished GPU, but it has caused intermittent crashes during gameplay. The latest shutdown I recorded was on 3Dmark, so I’ve attached the video to this post for reference. You seem to have identified the issue with your new GPU. If it's causing problems, the faulty GPU is likely the cause. The PSU might be fine unless there was a previous malfunction at the same time. What model GPU were you using before?

the refurbishment involved fixing several cards, but they weren’t fully functional. It seems the issue started after your new GPU was installed, possibly due to the PSU.

I purchased the PSU new along with the GPU, hoping it was in good condition. I have an ASUS GeForce GTX 1660 Phoenix OC with a 6GB RAM and a 550-watt PSU.

Here are some possible actions: 1. Verify GPU functionality on another machine. 2. Experiment with various GPUs in your setup. An additional point I don’t believe is the cause but it’s simple and fast to try: 3. Attempt to connect two separate 8-pin power cables from your PSU, rather than using a pigtail cable (which I assume you typically use). There’s a small risk that one cable might not provide enough power for your GPU.

I mentioned this before buying, and I think it was a correction—they mentioned it was a demo GPU in one of their show rooms, but I guess this isn’t the first time a store has misled customers for a sale.

I also have the individual 8-pin setup for the GPU. I’ll need to attempt steps 1 and 2 this weekend. Appreciate your assistance!
