Hello everyone, welcome! I'm a newcomer trying to upgrade my PC with a 2 TB M.2 SSD. My first purchase was affordable, but I didn't verify its fit for my ASRock B450m Pro4's ultra M.2 slot. Now I'm considering the Intel 660p 2TB as a more budget-friendly alternative, though the ASRock site only lists the 512 GB version as compatible. My main concern is whether the larger capacity version will still work, given it's from the same series as the supported 512 GB model.
In theory, capacity shouldn't affect compatibility. I'm confused about why ASRock highlights just 512 as the compatible option.
It was my consideration, my estimate suggests they focused on the 512GB model, which is the only one shared. However, I lack sufficient expertise to eliminate other technical options.
