I was checking out at Best Buy yesterday and spotted this in the Corsair Gaming area. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/scuf-envisi...Id=6558789 I use Xbox controllers for games like Elden Ring and Jedi Survivor on my PC. These controllers usually last only a year or two before issues like stick drift or button sticking arise. I take good care of my equipment, but they still don’t seem to hold up long. I’m unfamiliar with the brand, though the display felt very premium. At $179 it’s comparable to a professional controller, offering much better features for PC gaming. Have you ever used one before or had a problem with it? I plan to read reviews and look in the forum for tips. Should I stick with my Xbox controllers or try the Scuf for PC?

I was checking those items from the past but never sold them back then. These are owned by Corsair. Just take it your way. The main reason I wanted one is that the controllers use a PS-style layout but include Xbox buttons. To me, this combines the best of both, since I like the PS stick setup but Xbox buttons offer better compatibility for PC games. I think that’s why they were created.

They really let me down during the pandemic with that attitude about no warranty work. It was a custom controller priced around $250, which is a lot for what they offered. I expected a better guarantee—like a replacement within 90 days. Instead, they failed to deliver and now I won’t trust them again. In short, their hardware reliability matches the stock models.

It lacks Hall Effect joysticks, so don't assume it will perform better against stick drift. If that matters, opt for a model with them. The Vader 3 Pro is generally praised in similar discussions. https://www.reddit.com/r/Controller/comm..._guide_if/

Ugh, this controller is way too cheap—it’d be terrible if it moved too much or changed position often.

These devices, regardless of their cost, have poor construction quality and typically last only a few years. Consider them if you value the features, but don’t expect durability.

I filed a claim with Philips regarding a Hue bulb during the pandemic. They took four months to reply, yet I received a replacement bulb by mail the next day.
