I own a Ryzen 7 2700X with a ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard. I purchased GSKILL Trident Z RGB 3600mhz RAM, but it doesn’t work properly with my CPU. After lowering it to 3200mhz, the system refuses to boot. Can you find a stable configuration at that speed or even make it bootable? I’ve been running it at 2866mhz for some time now, experiencing intermittent blue screens. Full specs include the motherboard, RAM, graphics card, storage drives, and cooling setup.

Still, achieving 3200MT/s is achievable. Here are some steps you could try, in this sequence: Ensure you're using the latest BIOS. Avoid XMP settings and instead set timings, frequency, and voltage manually. Raise the SOC voltage to 1.15V—the voltage that supplies the memory controller—and this is typically where most Ryzen chips perform best (close to that value). Experiment with the ProcODT configuration to observe any improvements. Occasionally the board fails to apply settings properly, especially on many B450 boards. If these methods don’t work, try adjusting other resistances to see if it makes a difference. These tasks can be quite time-consuming, and if you reach this point, you might need to consider giving up. However, there are several Ryzen 2000 series chips capable of exceeding 3200MT/s; on a 2 DIMM ITX board, speeds of 3600MT/s or more are common, and a few exceptional models can hit 3600MT/s even with four DIMMs. So you should be able to surpass JEDEC limits if you put in the effort.
