I question if the 280x will perform well with far cry 6 unless you significantly reduce your resolution, probably down to something like tetris. With just 4GB of VRAM and an outdated GPU design, it’s unlikely to be very smooth. EDIT: It looks like the model only received 3GB of VRAM instead of the expected 4GB.

Yes, but if you need 120Hz 4K gaming then no. Your R9 280X can handle the game at 1080p with low settings, though VRAM is only 3GB which might cause stuttering. If you don’t want high resolution, FPS or quality, it should work. According to Tech PowerUp, your GPU is about 55% better than the RX460, so you should be fine for 1080p at 30fps.
